Breaking Point

Have you ever watched a horse being broken? You see the rider attempt to get on, only to be thrown to the ground. You see him make attempt after attempt, but to little avail. Breaking a horse is not an easy task. Horses, like any other animal, however, do like to eat and drink. After trying to ride him, you can offer him some food and water and that's no problem. The horse enjoys the food and water. You can feed the horse; you can water the horse, but don't get on the horses' back!

In many ways, we as Christians are seen as being broken by God, our Heavenly Father. We ask and expect Him to feed us, water us, and basically take care of us, but when God's Word teaches us to separate ourselves to Him, and give our lives to Him, we say to God, "PLEASE GOD, DON'T GET ON MY BACK"! We want to live our lives the way we want to and, we do not see the necessity of surrendering to God's will. Yes, we are saying, "PLEASE GOD, DON'T GET ON MY BACK."

God I need…
BUT God I can't be asked to surrender myself, so I can sing in the choir, or teach a Sunday school class.

God I need…
BUT God, you know I can't stop smoking, cussing, drinking… So I can be used of you, JUST DON'T GET ON MY BACK!

God I need…
BUT God, PLEASE DON'T GET ON MY BACK!

Will you as a Christian let God "Break You" "Mold You" so you can serve Him. He gave His best for you, He loves you. PLEASE DON'T TELL GOD TO GET OFF YOUR BACK! HE WANTS TO USE YOU IN HIS SERVICE!

I CORINTHIANS 6:17
"WHEREFORE COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM, AND BE YE SEPARATE, SAITH THE LORD, AND TOUCH NOT THE UNCLEAN THING; AND I WILL RECEIVE YOU.
