"Following Jesus Every Day By Day Nothing Can Harm Me When He Leads The Way!"
PSALM 23:1-6 Gives us promises of rest, comfort, protection, guidance, correction, restoration, and success, just to name a few.
What a great comfort we get as Christians, when we cling to these promises for peace of mind and soul, as we go through the trials of life, which we face every day. These verses are also found on quite a few memorial cards at funerals, as these verses are read as a source of comfort and hope.
Sometimes we forget there is a stipulation to receive these promises which Jesus offers us. One of the stipulations is found in the very first verse. Psalm 23:1 says, "The Lord is my shepherd", meaning He followed the Lord. Key word is FOLLOW. David on most occasions in his life followed the Lord and was able to pen these words because of what God did for him as he followed.
Jesus said in John 10:11, "I am the good Shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep." If we FOLLOW He will freely provide all of our needs.
