As a Christian, it's wonderful to know we have a God who is our refuge. He is there to protect us from danger. The definition of refuge is "a shelter or protection from danger or distress; an asylum." Our God is certainly all of these and more. He is there to protect us from the dangers of life, and shelter us in each of the storms we go through in our every day life. He is our REFUGE!
The Bible tells us in Nahum 1:7, "The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him."
We can claim this promise in our lives. Maybe you are having problems in your family, problems at work, or just feel like giving up! But don't be in despair, our God is greater than any problem we have and we can rest assured that he hears and answers our prayers if we are saved. If you're not saved, and you do not have the peace of God in your heart, please accept Him as your personal Savior. You too can have Him as a REFUGE in your life. Remember there is no storm that God cannot calm, for the Bible says in Matthew 8:27, "But the men marveled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!"
