Our visitation program is a comprehensive plan, guided by Christ's law, Christ's teaching, and the example of the Apostles.
Christ's Law teaches us that we are to win the lost, baptize them with Scriptural baptism, and finally, teach them to observe all things. In Matthew 28:18-20, the Scripture says, "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth, Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you alway even unto the end of the world."
We also find from Christ's teachings that we are to go out and compel the lost to come to Him. Luke 14:23 says, "And the Lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled." We have a door to door visitation program that covers our city once a year with gospel tracts and a sincere invitation to church. Our desire is to challenge people to examine their life and allow our Lord to meet their Spiritual need.
Our program's emphasis is the same as the Apostles in the Book of Acts 5:42, "And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ." They courageously and steadfastly strove to fulfill God's plan to win the lost, no matter what their cost.
The ultimate goal in visitation at Bible Baptist Church is led by the example of Jesus Christ in Luke 19:10, "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost."
Although we visit everyday, our weekly scheduled visitation is on Tuesday at 9:30 AM and 7:00 PM.
