II Timothy 2:15

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."

Bro. Terry's Thoughts:

One major shortcoming for the believer today is they do not know their Bible! As the test at school or work shows the study habits, or may I say, the lack of study habits, so does the test of the knowledge of God's Word when witnessing to the saved and the lost.

Everyone gets a mental block once in a while when witnessing, however, when a conversation is filled with, "I know the Scripture, but I can't think of the address," this is a sign that someone needs to study a little harder!

There are times when a saint can actually feel ashamed, when the opportunity arises to witness, and they are unprepared because of the lack of study time in their Bible. There are also times when one takes a stand, but has not rightly divided or explained the Word of truth. No one can hide a red face!

I am not speaking about babies in Christ, but those, who are suppose to be mature Christians. Yes, the KJV Bible was given to God's children so they can be well versed in the Word. God does give wisdom, liberally and unbridled. It is up to the believer to study.
