Jeremiah 24:7

"And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart."

Bro. Terry's Thoughts:

God gave Jeremiah an illustration of his love for his people. We understand that Israel went into the captivity of Nebuchadnezzar because they left God out of their lives, but God had not forgot them! Through this time, they will remember God, and they will return completely to Him.

Christians today allow themselves to become captives of this world. The world then drives them down to the point where all they can do is look up! Why do we allow ourselves to get caught up in the world from which Jesus redeemed us?

If truly saved, Jesus has given you a heart to know Him. You know He is the only true God. God will shake you, stir you up, and cause you to run back to Him now!

If a soul has the desire to stay away from God, that soul does not belong to God, PERIOD!

The soul that belongs to God will come to Him with a whole heart, or completely. The Christian faith is not a hard life. The saved can make it hard, but it is a blessed life.

We can and must rely on God with our whole life. We are nothing without Him!
